HMS Scrap 1-2 Market Trend

The Scrap prices in US Origin in Taiwan dropped to USD 460/MT. Last week the container of HMS Scrap 80:20 was supplied for USD 460/MT. 

It is estimated that the drop in prices are due to depreciation of currencies against dollar.

The other reason may be because of decline in the Scrap imported from US and is expected that the US HMS Scrap 80:20 in containers may further drop in near future.

The Scrap supply is business has increased due to the huge network of dismantlers and collectors of scraps. These networks exist almost in every country of the world. The modern mini mills have made the business of HMS scrap more lucrative in the world. Most of the demand of ferrous metal scrap is generated by ultra mini mills in world.

After 2004, the prices of scrap started climbing. The prices started dipping in 2008-2009 but never reached and historic down level. Today also the scrap prices are maintaining the level above US$ 400/MT. With low supplies and high demand, it’s expected that the prices will be again rising in the coming days.

Most of the scrap supplied is on daily basis ranging for quantity 15 tons per day to 50 tons per day depending upon the availability of material and transport.

The Scrap we supply is completely free from any impurities, foreign objects, free from radioactive material and also from of all kinds of rust or oil / paints. All loading and transport procedures and cost to be handled by purchaser. Daily loading and supply is possible and is more economical then stocking and supplying.
